Ingredients

  • 60 ml Espresso coffee use 15g ground espresso coffee
  • 160 ml Milk whole (full fat)
  • 40 ml Warninks advocaat

Optional extras - whipped cream, sprinkles, marshmallows etc...

    Instructions

    • Warm a latte glass or mug by filling it with freshly boiled water and leaving it to stand whilst you prepare the coffee and milk.
    • Heat the milk to approximately 60-70C either in a milk pan or using the steaming wand of a coffee machine.
    • Brew the espresso coffee.
    • Tip the water out of the glass/ mug.
    • Pour the Warninks Advocaat and the coffee into the glass/ mug and stir well.
    • Top with the steamed milk.
    • Garnish as desired with a selection of topping sand serve immediately.

    Notes

    • Pick your glass or mug carefully. Make it extra special because it’s Christmas!
    • Warm the mug before adding the Christmas coffee – nobody enjoys a lukewarm latte. Just pour some freshly boiled water into the glass or mug and leave it to stand whilst you get on with making the Warninks Advocaat coffee. When ready to pour simply throw away the hot water.
    • Use advocaat that has been stored or brought back up to room temperature if it has been in the fridge. Using chilled advocaat will cool the coffee down a little too much.
    • To turn it into an iced Christmas latte simply prepare the coffee then mix in the Advocaat. Fill a glass with ice, pour the coffee mix over it and top up with cold milk. Whipped cream is a lovely addition to this Christmas iced coffee.
