Notes
Warm your mug by letting hot water stand in it while making the drink
Vary the strength of the coffee according to your own tastes, but remember that very strong coffee may mask the white chocolate flavour more significantly
Taste the drink before deciding to add any sugar to it. I find this drink, as made according
Make it vegan: try using almond or oat milk in place of regular dairy milk and use vegan white chocolate. Don't forget to forego the whipped cream or make a suitable swap with a vegan-friendly product such as whipped coconut cream
Making without an espresso machineIf you do not own an espresso machine it is still possible to make this drink. Try brewing the espresso coffee in a cafetière (French press) instead.Alternatively, use instant coffee - dissolve 1 rounded teaspoon in 40ml hot water.Make an iced white mochaHeat ⅓ of the milk to melt the chocolate into, then transfer this to a jug and add the remaining cold milk, vanilla extract and some cooled coffee. Chill if there's time and then pour over plenty of ice.
