Why I Love This Vodka Mango Cocktail
- Flavour: Tropical mango & pineapple, zesty citrus and an optional kick of chilli - what's not to enjoy?
- Unique: Mango is not a common cocktail ingredient but using mango liqueur makes it easy to incorporate this wonderful fruit into a cocktail.
- Appearance: This long drink, adorned with fresh mint, lime and dazzling slice of red chilli is eyecatching and inviting.
- Adaptable: Like chilli heat? Make it with chilli vodka (customised to your heat preference). Alternatively, go with regular vodka to skip the spicy edge.
- Easy party recipe: Assemble your mango punch in a bowl or jug to serve a crowd.
- Easy single serve: Cosy nights in don't stop you enjoying this drink as it's also easy to assemble in a glass.
Making this mango punch with chilli vodka is a great option if you have adventurous foodie friends coming over. Impress them further with my spicy tequila mule or my fireworks on the beach cocktail.
Ingredients Notes

Mango liqueur: It can be hard to introduce the sweet & floral flavour of mango into a cocktail subtly, but the use of mango liqueur gets around this issue easily. There's no messing around trying to extract the juice from fresh fruit or wondering where to purchase pure mango juice.
Vodka: You have 2 options here. Either use regular vodka or introduce some spice by using chilli vodka. (I advocate homemade chilli vodka as you can customise the spice level).
How to Make Mango Punch (Step-By-Step Instructions)
Full instructions and measurements are given in the printable recipe card at the end of this post.
This drink can be made in a bowl or jug as a mango punch to serve a crowd. The recipe card details quantities for 8 serves and you would need a jug or bowl large enough to hold 1.5 litres plus ice. Alternatively, it can be made in a highball glass as a single serve mango cocktail with vodka.
Follow the punch or single serve cocktail steps below to match your requirements.

- Punch: Add plenty of ice to the jug/ bowl. Cut the limes into 8 wedges, squeeze the juice into the bowl/ jug and drop in the wedges.
Single serve cocktail: Half fill a glass with ice. Squeeze the juice from the lime wedges over the ice, drop them in and top with more ice.

- Punch: Add the mango liqueur, and vodka to the jug/ bowl followed by the pineapple juice. Stir.
Single serve cocktail: Pour the mango liqueur, vodka and pineapple juice into the glass. Stir briefly.

- Punch: Just before serving add plenty of ice and pour in the lemonade.
Single serve cocktail: Pour in the lemonade.

- Punch: Place the mint, lime and chilli garnishes in bowls alongside the punch for guests to help themselves to. Don't forget highball glasses and more ice.
Single serve cocktail: Garnish with an additional wedge of lime, mint sprig and (optional) a wedge of red chilli.
Expert Tips
- Add lemonade at the point of serving: Although you can mix the other liquids for this mango punch together in advance, it is best to add the lemonade at the point of serving to avoid it going flat.
- Add ice at the point of serving: If the punch is made in advance the ice will fully melt and dilute the drink.
- Make in advance: Mix the lime, vodka, mango liqueur and pineapple juice together and store in the fridge for up to 48 hours. Add lemonade and ice when ready to serve.
- Do not add chilli wedges to the punch bowl/ jug: The chilli would infuse in the liquid as it waits to be served, affecting the spice level and, depending on the strength of the chilli, it may make the mango vodka cocktail too spicy to be enjoyable.

Ha! Ha! Jane...so that is what I have to look forward to when I finally attempt to make my own videos? Well. . ..I like your new video and can only hope that my first video turns out half as good. And this cocktail. . .I'm loving that it is a bit on the feisty side. Plus it's loaded down with accessories. . .just the way I like it.

oh Lynn, I am doing some serious research before my next one. Unless I go into a niche and be the blogger who only shoots videos - that could work. Glad you like the drinkie and all of it's bling - no point being it being fiesty if it's going to dress as a wallflower
