Happy New Year everybody. I’ve managed to pull myself out of my Christmas-New Year induced stupor to compile a speedy list of the most popular recipes from Littlesugarsnaps in 2015.
Last year was my first full year of blogging and oh my, did I learn alot. There have been numerous highs in the kitchen and a few fails lows on the technical side of blogging (thanks for sticking around).
Thankfully, these techie issues have been resolved and I’m starting 2016 in a buzz of excitement for some of the recipes I have planned. It’s just that I have to wait until next December to share several of them with you and I’m not sure if I can do that without bursting.
If you’re following me on social media, then you’ll probably have spotted these recipes already. If you’re new here, you can follow along on Pinterest | Facebook | Instagram or simply sign up to get my new recipes via email.
I’ll shortly be kicking off 2016 with a healthy, soothing drink guaranteed to perk up January, but for now sit back and enjoy the top 10 from 2015.
1 Millionaire’s Caramel Krispie Squares
I can hardly believe how well liked this recipe has been, but duh – what’s not to like? A marshmallow krispie base topped with heavenly caramel and smothered in chocolate. Oh, go on then….
2 Turkish Delight Layer Cake
One of my personal favourites because I created it for my daughter’s birthday. Sentiment aside, it seems the classic rose and lemon flavours have won reader’s hearts too.
3 Split Pea, Chicken & Rice Soup
Talk about comfort in a bowl. This soup is bright & cheerful and packed with healthy ingredients. A treat without any sinning.
4 Christmas Wreaths
I’m so thrilled you all like these cookies as much as I do. They are the essence of Christmas with plenty of buttery, spicy, citrus flavours within the biscuit. So easy to make yet so impressive to look at.
5 Spiced & Malted Date Shakes
If you haven’t tried a date shake, then please do so asap. These drinks contain calcium and one of your five a day. No need for added sugar. No call for ice cream. These Spiced & Malted Date Shakes are surefire winners with the kids.
6 Red Mulligatawny
This is such a great supper – easy to prepare, minimal washing up and a flavourful, healthy soup to boot.
7 Mint Choc Chip Layer Cake
Mint Choc Chip is a stalwart classic for a reason, but you don’t have to limit this flavour just to ice cream
8 Winter Spice Negroni
I’m delighted that this little number has made it’s way into my top ten. Released only a month ago, but those spices and charred orange wedges seem to have hit the spot with you all.
9 The Baylon Cocktail
And going hand-in-hand with my winter cocktail is my spring-summer blend of bourbon, pears, pineapple & cinnamon. Life is tough….
10 Cherry Coconut Smoothie
Just creeping in at number 10 is my cherry coconut smoothie – summer bliss – kind of makes me want to book my summer holiday.
New recipes to follow… imminently.
